Congratulation to Kevin Pangos 6'1" from Dr. Dennison High School
for being named TheHoop-La.com's 2010-11 High School Player of the Year.
Pangos
led his team to the Silver medal at Triple "A" OFSAA in Niagara
Falls. A first team all-star at the world U17 tournament last summer in Europe
where Canada finished third. The season highlight of Pangos' year was
when he scored a season high of 48pts in the semi-finals of the Nike Holiday
Tournament against eventual Quad "A" champions Vaughn H.S. from Thornhill.
Pangos committed to Gonzaga University in Seattle, Washington, which
is a perennial NCAA tournament qualifier. He is the son of Bill Pangos,
the head coach of the York Lions women's team and is widely considered the best
point guard prospect from Canada since Steve Nash.
