Hate it or love it, but the Nike Tournament of Champions is the most hyped event of the year. And for good reason, with ranked teams from all over the country doing battle on a neutral court for the chance to be anointed the best of the best. As Glenn Nelson so eloquently described in his story covering the three SoCal powerhouses (Brea, Mater Dei, Poly spotlight), the high-wattage of unavoidable spotlight brings the heat, or pressure, to win. On the flip side, Rich Wesolowski brings his St. Mary's Catholic High School Eagles more than 1,850 miles, (or for Canadians nearly 3,000 kilometers), from Hamilton, Ontario, to Chandler, Ariz., and will suit up in the Joe Smith Division of the TOC with none of the external forces adding pressure.
