Rootes to play in Ukrainian Superleague |

 Brock University men's basketball point guard Brad Rootes has signed on to play for Politekhnika-Galychyna Lviv in the Ukrainian Superleague.
Rootes now becomes the seventh Badger to sign a pro contract joining former stars Dave Picton (Germany), Clint Holtz (Australia), Gord Wood (Europe), Jaime Duncan (Germany), Kevin French (Spain) and Morgan Fairweather (ABA).
In his last year, Rootes was named to the OUA All-Star first team
for the fifth consecutive season becoming the first Badger to be named a conference
all-star in all five seasons. He ended his career on top of the CIS league as
he help lead the Brock Badgers to their second National Championsip where they
defeated the Acadia Axemen by the score of 64-61. On March 31st, Rootes
had his jersey officially retired joining only three others in school history
in Ken Murray, David Picton and Kevin Stienstra.
