yea I think Christie is a stud and a big pick up for mac if they get him but players in the CIS are smarter then HS players and will be able to set him off plus how long will the older guys tolerate Christie yelling at them on the court and having nothing be his fault, if he ever gets his emotions in check he will be a load, you gotta think Laurier got tired of finishing 5 or 6 which is probably why they brought in all those recruits cuz there is some talent in there I think Mac and Laurier will be at the top next year with Windsor being right there. In a year or 2 Guelph will be back near the top cuz there is whole bunch of talent in that group. That whole thing about going to a place where there won't be much minutes that usually would be a good sign cuz that means your going to a good team, the Carelton guys have bought in and its worked out pretty well there hopefully the players at Laurier can do the same and it may lead to better results for them. Also I have heard Aleksa Rovic is not going to guelph he is going to some D2 in Oklahoma.

It's strange that Mac has nothing coming in just Raso's son and that Brady his best bud and Angus passed on Mac? Western's definitely depleted and will be hurting. Brock has a few good pick ups and I hear they've got a good shot at the Springer kid from London, wonder why he passed on Western? Nikolai going to Alberta was a smart move gauranteeing a spot on the Jr. Ntl team. U of Ottawa has nothing much happening and lost the Syracuse star. Carleton's a lock again! U of T has nobody coming in at all or nobody worth talking about and are losing 5 or 6 key guys next year, they will be in bad shape for years to come. Lakehead's gone crazy with that Hornby guy, how long will he last? How old is he? We all would ride Mac for similar situations in the past but look at the great white north, no better! What about Enrico, What happened with his U.S. scholarship?
Am I the only person that picked up on that comment and found it a little strange?...I mean, Nikola is 'going' to be a good CIS player but he still has a ways to go IMO...No offense to Nikola in any way but there are a lot of other players out there that deserve to be on the Jr National team...
If Christie gets his head on (which is a big IF) he has all the tools to be very successfull at the CIS level....Moving Raso to the PG spot is a bold move IMO - Mac needs more productivity from their PG spot.... Enrico is a huge pick-up for Windsor - I can't imagine him not getting good minutes right away....If Springer-Williams goes to Brock, Dedi and him will be very difficult in years to come....

What's so strange about that comment about Nikola. Francis is the coach at Alberta and also the jr. national team. Seems like an easy deduction that he'd take his players first. We've seen it before.
IMO, Springer would be wasted at Mac, if that is indeed an option for him. There are too many fighting for minutes there anyways. He's best to go to Brock and get lots of time and be a major part of a building team. If they get the right mix, it won't take long. They've done it before and results mean everything.
Vic Raso going in as the new PG is ridiculous. Is that really true?
How many more are going to be passing through that revolving door before Joe realizes they should just get a ready made PG. Or is this just a make work job for junior?

Springer-Williams would be a good fit at Western or Windsor IMO

Quick question for the board....
Have the Jr.National try-outs (invites only) started and who is there?....I had heard that Cory Joseph, Tristan Thompson and Junior Cadougan were not going to be playing because they were going to the Nike Skill Academy's instead....If they aren't there, then can anyone confirm who is/was at these try-outs....

Don't know who is there, but some kids were added to the invite list after an open tryout at Mac last week. Tryout/training camp is this week at St. Mary's in late afternoons and early evenings. Will probably announce roster by end of the week. I expect all the NEDA players to make it which only leaves 2-3 spots.

We all know that politics play a major factor in these teams, many of the best didn't bother trying out as usual and some were by invite only. Is it true Raso's son was the last cut and better guys got cut? IMO, Francis shouldn't be coaching that team, it's a conflict of interest! How is that fair to all the other University coaches out there?
Back to the topic of CIS/OUA recruits, Why is it that some schools have done nothing at all especially in the east, some of the west gone overboard and over recruited. The east has nothing happening except Carleton, Smart has proven time and time again he's the superior coach. U of T is lost and have done nothing, they are in serious need after next year unless they got a whole bunch of transfers coming in? Maybe Katz should go back to the college stream or assist Raso at Mac, he might have more success. Clinton Springer should sign with Brock, it's the best option and Murray knows how to win with a much less talented team and short roster, not many can say that. Mac next, over Windsor, Western or Ottawa but minutes will be limited at Mac, Raso's got most of all his guys back, and bringing in Christie & his son, that situation will be insane, it's tough enough to get pt with the other guards on hand.

With Enrico DiLoreto at Windsor, I don't think Springer would get more time over him either. Western seems to have dropped the ball on several London recruits, showing that they are perhaps short-sighted for the future.

Springer is better than Enrico and should get more minutes than him. Western coach definitely dropped the ball, his ego has got the best of him, he dropped the ball on recruiting properly, snubbed his nose at better players all year and will reap what he sows. Struggling to make playoffs this year. All Ego, no brains!

I know that B.Campbell was trying to get in late with Nikola but that seemed to go nowhere fast. I also think Dave Boyce will end up at York.
With regards to teams over recruiting - most of the teams that are bringing in a lot of players are teams that are either at the bottom of the conference or teams that lost players due to graduation. Laurier brought in some solid talent and if you can bring players in to help your program, improve your roster and give you a better chance to win then why wouldn't you do that?
I may have missed it earlier but I saw on hooplife that Colton Hood is now going to Guelph and not Mac. Any info as to why?
