I am also happy that simcoe county is getting some attention thanks to this site.
osyp you guys do have a very strong team and i am sure you will contend for AAAA GB's, you are peaking at the right time and had a good run at the tournament.
As to baaaller's comment i agree i don't believe banting should be in the top 10. The way i did my rankings was based on my view of the teams with the way they have played, yes some has to do with who they have beat but if you think about it the top 7 teams are the only ones people have talked about therefor we don't know much about anyone else, except a few comments here and there saying that they are not that strong

midballers definitely has the rankings right. As for CCI saying they started late because of football, that's not an excuse. Other teams have players who play club hockey and/or school volleyball. No one feels sorry for you but you guys came back fast so respect for that. Another thing I want to point out is St. Joe's is a really floppy team, if their big men dont have good games their teams not even compete-able. Anyways good job to all players this weekend. Especially St. Theresa's who won and played 4 decent games and even through adversity came out on top. Keep an eye on this team and their young players.

I was unaware that barrie central had lost to JOA...twice
I guess it goes to show that anyone can win on any given day. St theresas, much more talented and deep then barrie central, did not show up to play that game and almost were upset due to the fact berrardi went off and the younger central squad was so driven to win. Then the same central team went on to lose to west ferris by ten...who collingwood beat by more then ten previously...

However, St. Theresas fought through and ended up winning the tournament for the first time ever.

Overall a great tournament for everyone.

I agree with ballin high, St theresas volleyball team went to ofsaa as they always do, and st theresas was forced to play there first 8 games with 8 players...havin to pull up grade 9s to fill the bench. Thats never an excuse but still good work to both cwood and st theresas to pulling through that and still having great teams

actually st.t's only has 1 grade 9 on their team who is their manager and sometimes plays, other then that they actually played with 7 players at the start of the season.
st t's definetly did not show up to play this weekend but they pulled out a few ugly wins, but sometimes you have to be able to win that way.
tayshaun is right no excuses, there just can't be any, because at the end of the day its more about how you perform and if you don't perform well then that is your own problem you can't try to blame it on anyone else.
I am very excited too see the outcome of playoffs and gb's

Yes a congratulations is in order for St Theresa's and to Thomas Johnston as being named the tournament MVP. I have seen him play a few times and he is quite a player.

I also heard that St Theresa's didn't have such a great quarter final game but a win is a win, and you have to be willing to take what you earned. Just goes to show that on any given day, anyone can be anyone. I would have loved to have seen Berrardi play in that game, apparently he just went off.

As for CCI, I don't believe osyp is making excuses, just stating a fact about their team. Many teams in Simcoe County have reasons for not starting off early with their full team as the end of the fall sports take priority over the start of the winter sports. However CCI and St Theresa's have both done a great job in bringing in their teams together and finding a way to be victorious.

Congratulations to all in the tournament this past weekend.

Good teams find ways to win, and thats just what St. T's did. Congrats.

I have edited my previous post, as it did seem like I was attempting to justify losses. No excuses here. We lost to Midland, Orillia District, and Dr. Dennison who all schooled us to start our season. They all desrved to win, and they did.

I think aquinas is better than pretty river. Central lost to west ferris, but they played their whole bench in this game and maybe if they had played everyone it wouldve been a different result. Also west ferris was missing there top scorer on Saturday but I'm not sure why

I agree what every one is saying about the rankings, however, I do not agree that north is 10, Patrick Fogarty beat North in the MSS tournament final winning the championship. Fogarty all so beat St. Thomas Aquinus aswell. The rankings should be

St. T's
St. Joe's
Nantyr
Collingwood
Barrie Central
ODCVI
Innisdale
Pretty river
Patrick Fogarty
St. Thomas Aquainus

I agree with Bouchard's rankings.

Fogarty has beaten STA twice.
