I have to echo the kudos to Aquinas as well. Saw this group play a few times this year and despite a lack of depth, they battled hard at all times and can be extremely proud of their success. This team was weaker overall than the team that won it all last year, losing stars to graduation - but there they were almost bringing home another gold and showing a lot of character rallying for bronze. They got the most out of their talent, for sure.
Remember, if they had gotten through that semi, Aquinas pounded Parkside earlier in the year. I think it would have been a great game but STA were right there!
Matt Blaha was a pleasure to watch during his career and should be a shoo-in for any post season all star festivities. From what I hear he's a great kid to top it off.
Congrats again to Aquinas... they have some youth (the coach included) and should be a player in Halton ball in the coming years!
Also, congrats to Loyola, Kings, Parkside, OP, STM - and all other local area teams for their fantastic showings at OFSAA.
