This may sound defensive, but to call Holy Trinity Juniors the league's biggest disappointment is ridiculous to say the least. They finished the season unbeaten in league play, won 4 tournaments and were competitive against top GTA and Hamilton district teams in the other tournaments that they were finalists in. Which other JR team in Halton did this?
The exception to an otherwise great season of success for the HT JRs was the Halton Jr championship of course, all congrats to the winners of that.
Biggest upset in the semis? For sure. Biggest disappointment of the year? No way.

Yes, I agree. The biggest disappointment may not be a team but the the overall jr and sr leagues. Counting both Boards and both leagues, there are around 50+ schools with about 10 competitive teams. That's less than 20 %. So the biggest disappointment are the 80% schools.
HT jr's were very competitive this year, good for them!

Gee, 3 of the 4 GHAC reps at OFSAA are from Halton. When was the last time that happened in the last 10 years since there were 4 classifications? I will venture with not ever I would believe? Plus, 2 of those 3 are #1 seeds.
You may wish to celebrate these accomplishments as it may not happen again any time soon!!
Please note Bobby, that there are 28 schools in the Halton Leagues, thus not sure how you come up with those numbers? Oh yea, you throw chairs and use whips!!
Best of Luck to King's, Aquinas and Loyola. Should be a fun week!

To Biggy,
You said - Please note Bobby, that there are 28 schools in the Halton Leagues, thus not sure how you come up with those numbers? Oh yea, you throw chairs and use whips!!
I just got off the HSSAA web site, combining both leagues and tiers - there are 47 teams! Again, maybe 10 were competitive. I don't count tier 2 as being competitive, if they were they would be in tier 1.
Yes schools like Loyola, Nelson, HT, ND, Assumption and STA have competitive teams but it stops there.
Congratulations to King's, Aquinas and Loyola. And shame on about 35 teams that just go through the motions.

to oakvillehoops,
Please clarify, only 12 Sr boys teams competed in Tier 1 and 12 senior boys teams competed in Tier 2. Your initial comments, 'there are around 50+ schools' doesn't make sense unless you are including junior boys or senior girls?
One more statement needs clarifing, you congratulate King's but you don't consider them competitive. They are competitive at a single A classification, are they not?
Help us out it is difficult to follow your logic given the data you provided.

Sorry about the confusion - around 50 boys teams (jr and Sr)
Good for King's and I AM NOT BELITTLING THEM by saying - who's their competition in Halton?
