What Happened??????

I couldn't get to the game.

I can ask on the Hamilton Board but want to here an unbiased comment on the game. Did the qualifiers take to much out of them?

Presutti did not play all weekend, which had to be a factor. They will be all right in the long run. This team is good!

I did not make the game but had heard from an impartial spectator that Ruan(sp) was in foul trouble very early and the officiating was questionable.

I agree. I have seen a few Loyola games and they have been getting the Lions share of the calls. You need some help to be good!

That may very well be but I think courtside meant that STM got the calls this time. I'd seen it all weekend at the Fox. They definitely received favoured officiating but even the refs couldnt help them against the more athletic and bigger Oakwood.

bigbig..The officiating has seriously deteriorated to beyond dismal province wide.
If you watch enough games, you see the glaring inconsistancies, the obvious antagonism towards some, favouritism towards others. It's such a farce now that some officials don't even bother to try to hide it. No one bothers to argue with it as there is no end in sight.
Just put in your time as a player, try to get through it with some enjoyment of the game intact and move on.

I'm all for volunteering your time to help kids but when a highly rated ref is sitting beside Bob Stacey, you have to wonder

Ya that seems just a little inappropriate doesn't it?
Nice that he is helping out as an assistant but maybe he shouldn't be on the bench during games while he is an active referee in the area.
Then again, I'm sure that's exactly where Stacey prefers him to be during games.

Yes, Post Up. We have talked alot, at nauseam, way too much about transfers, coaches, teachers, etc. the past couple of years. We may of hit the real hypocritical situation. Coaches can recruit, teachers can coach, parents can drive their kids around town to any school they want but in the end its the refs that make the calls. Good luck against Nelson
